Hernandez, Minda (1st)
Rodeo Day

Welcome to First Grade at Laureles Elementary! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Minda C. Hernandez and I will be your child’s First Grade teacher this 2017-2018 school year. I myself am a product of the Los Fresnos CISD school district. I attended Villarreal Elementary in Olmito, Los Fresnos Jr. High and graduated from Los Fresnos High School. I went on to earn my degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville in Early Childhood Ed. thru 4th grade. I worked as a paraprofessional for three years at Olmito Elementary in pre-k and Kinder. I went on to begin my teaching career at Palmer-Laakso Elementary for four years both as a first grade teacher and a fourth grade teacher.  I became a member of the RVE family in 2011 and taught fourth grade for 4 years, and 2nd grade 2 years.

I am looking forward to working with you to give your child a memorable and productive First Grade experience. We have a very supportive administration here at Laureles Elementary and you can be reassured that your child will receive many wonderful learning experiences.

Please feel free to call me with any questions and concerns that you may have. I can be reached during conference (9:00 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.) at
(956)-254-5141.
