Administration

Ramon Escareño serves the students at Laureles Elementary School as the Campus Principal for the 2024- 2025 school year. Mr. Escareño has served in the field of education for 21 years all with Los Fresnos CISD. During his career in public education, he has served in many roles including special education paraprofessional, special education teacher, sports coach and Assistant Principal. He is a proud Los Fresnos High School graduate who lead his campus with absolute commitment to the community he serves.

Tania Barrera serves the students at Laureles Elementary School as the Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Barrera has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2014. During her career in public education that began in 2013, Mrs. Barrera has served as a 4th grade teacher, 6th grade ELAR teacher, 8th grade Speech for Leadership teacher, and an 8th grade ELAR teacher.  Before her current role, she served as an Instructional Officer at Laureles Elementary. She received her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and her Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Barrera is a proud LF Falcon Alumni and passionate about being able to serve the Los Fresnos community in her current and future roles. 

Edna Hernandez serves the students at Laureles Elementary as Instructional Officer for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Hernandez has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2022. During her career in public education that began in 2011, Mrs. Hernandez has served as a 5th grade Bilingual teacher, Kinder Dual Language Teacher, and Middle School CTE Teacher.  Prior to her current role, she was an Instructional Coach and Lead Teacher for LFCISD. Mrs. Hernandez received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree with an emphasis in Bilingual Education from The University of Texas at Brownsville and her Masters of Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Math and Science from UTRGV.
